Mohammed Al-Maajil, Vice Chairman of the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Tourism and Entertainment Committee and Vice Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the Shopping and Entertainment Festival, praised the enthusiasm of the participating entities and the large turnout, which were behind the festival’s success in all aspects during its first week, noting the benefit derived from the support and guidance of His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar, Governor of the Riyadh Region, who always emphasizes the need for development and for fulfilling the people’s aspirations to the greatest extent possible.

Al-Maajil stated that the Riyadh Chamber is harnessing all its capabilities to ensure the festival’s continued success and to fulfill its hoped-for role in promoting tourism and stimulating the economy, noting that the Chamber has taken all technical, administrative, and organizational steps to support this success.

Al-Maajil noted that the festival’s management aims to ensure this event is on par with—if not surpassing—other events in the Arab world and even globally, and ”We lack nothing in this regard; we have outstanding administrative expertise whose organizational capabilities are growing day by day, and we possess the great talent needed to manage such events in a way that affirms that the Kingdom is home to skilled professionals in all fields.”

He explained that this event provides a suitable opportunity for everyone—citizens and residents alike—to attend and participate, and to share their feedback on the activities so we can identify their preferences and fulfill the appropriate ones, noting that development and innovation are essential for the festival to continue making a positive impact.
