Jabal Omar signs an agreement to develop a new hotel just meters away from the Haram

Mr. Yasser bin Faisal Al-Sharif, CEO of Jabal Omar Development Company, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to providing luxurious and exceptional hospitality services to pilgrims and visitors to the Holy City in accordance with the highest international standards.

This announcement came as Jabal Omar signed an agreement with Dubai Holding to develop the five-star “Jabal Omar Jumeirah Makkah” hotel in Makkah. Under the agreement, “Jumeirah Group” will manage the new hotel, which consists of four towers offering magnificent views of the Grand Mosque and located just a few minutes“ walk away.

Al-Sharif expressed his delight at this fruitful collaboration with Jumeirah Group, which specializes in the global luxury hospitality sector, and expressed optimism about the success of the agreement with the prestigious Jumeirah Group, ensuring mutual benefits for both our guests and shareholders.

It is worth noting that the new hotel project includes 1,033 hotel rooms and 93 villas. The hotel features restaurants and cafes, as well as numerous facilities for hosting meetings and conferences, a fitness center, and more than 90 retail stores. The ”Jabal Omar Jumeirah Makkah“ hotel will begin welcoming guests in early 2019.

The importance of the ”Jebel Omar Jumeirah Makkah’ hotel stems from the vital role it will play in significantly driving the Group’s growth in the coming years. He noted that the hotel marks the Group’s first presence in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, specifically in Makkah, one of the world’s holiest cities and most valuable real estate markets,  This brings the number of luxury hotels and resorts operated by the Group to 22, comprising 7,164 hotel rooms worldwide.
