<Doha is gearing up to host an international tourism conference titled «Tomorrow's World Tourism Conference: What the Future Holds for Tourism in the Region» on February 23 and 24, organized by Stenden University Qatar in collaboration with Al Rayyan Tourism Investment Company, owned by Al Faisal Holding Group and in partnership with the Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA).Hassan Al Ibrahim, Director of Strategy Development and Chairman of the Tourism Development Committee at Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA), explained during a press conference held recently to unveil the details of the Tourism in Tomorrow's World conference: The conference, which will be held on February 23 and 24, will provide an opportunity for those involved in the tourism industry from the public and private sectors to rub shoulders with global experts, providing an opportunity to exchange experiences and learn about best practices.
He explained that the conference comes at a very important time as the tourism industry in Qatar is witnessing a boom in the number of tourists in general and in the number of hotels and tourism products, which also entails a need to prepare human cadres for the sector.
Al Ibrahim emphasized that Qatar Tourism Authority's strategic priorities include engaging stakeholders in the development of the tourism sector to support the implementation of the National Tourism Strategy 2030, where QTA has developed a strong relationship with the University of Stenden through several initiatives. He added: «Human development is one of Qatar Tourism Authority's top priorities, especially with the increasing number of hotels, resorts and other tourism services currently under development, enabling the country to offer a true blend of culture and rich heritage with the flavor of traditional Arabic hospitality. The Qatari hospitality sector will also provide ambitious job opportunities for young people within the largest international companies, securing them a successful career at all stages of their lives.»
Al Ibrahim stressed that the Qatar Tourism Authority's strategic priorities include engaging stakeholders in the development of the tourism sector to support the implementation of the National Tourism Strategy 2030.
