The Minister of Energy, Industry, and Mineral Resources, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ma'aden, Eng. Khalid Al-Falih, affirmed that the export by the Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Ma'aden) of its first batch of phosphate fertilizers, represented by its subsidiary its subsidiary «Ma'aden Waad Al-Shamal Phosphate,» marks a milestone in Ma'aden's success in achieving its desired development goals.
He highlighted the leadership’s support, which enabled the achievement of this historic milestone and the attainment of this stage of development in the phosphate mining and manufacturing industry.
He added: The Northern Promise project works to promote sustainable economic development in the northern border region, which has already begun to take shape through the creation of job opportunities, the training and qualification of Saudi youth, the development of small and medium-sized enterprises, and the promotion of economic and developmental activity in the region.
explaining that this event is the result of constructive cooperation, and the result of integrated efforts by numerous government and private entities during the previous phase, which saw the project’s establishment, the provision of all the requirements for its success, and the overcoming of challenges.
He noted that the company is steadily moving toward achieving its investment goals and strengthening its operational performance by reaching global markets with Saudi phosphate products, in accordance with the required reliability and quality, ensuring continued growth and strengthening Ma'aden’s position and competitive edge, at a time when Ma'aden’s phosphate fertilizer products are reaching 16 countries around the world.
