More than 280 exhibiting companies have completed their preparations to welcome clients and showcase their investment opportunities at the Cityscape Global 2017 exhibition and conference, which kicks off next Monday in Dubai from September 11 to 13at the Dubai World Trade Center. More than 47,000 real estate industry professionals are expected to attend, with specialized participation and sponsorship from Amlak Real Estate newspaper.

Achieving the Highest Rates of Real Estate Investment

This year’s conference and exhibition will focus on discussing key topics relevant to real estate agents, architects, engineers, and other professionals. Attending the exhibition gives visitors the opportunity to exchange ideas and strengthen their ties with key industry entities, organizations, and associations operating in the sector.

The exhibition’s pavilions will feature all key players in real estate development and investment, including architects, designers, and urban planners; developers of residential, office, and commercial projects; investment promotion agencies, economic development authorities, city promotion agencies and authorities, banks, financial institutions, investment firms, asset management companies, and investors. Cityscape’s talks serve as a major draw for visitors seeking to benefit from these insights and achieve the highest rates of real estate investment; during these sessions, market trends are discussed and key information regarding future acquisitions is revealed.

British Companies Attract Gulf Investors

For their part, British companies have finalized their preparations to participate in the exhibition amid significant interest from real estate brokers in attracting Gulf investments to the real estate market, following the negative impact of the withdrawal from the European Union, which has spurred efforts to attract dollar-denominated investors from Gulf countries such as the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Bahrain,  especially since British residential property prices have fallen by 30% over the past three years for investors dealing in U.S. dollars.”

Specialized real estate brokerage firms such as North Aker and Knight Knox are participating in Cityscape Global to advise exhibition visitors on entering the British market and showcase their latest projects. In this context, Andy Phillips, Commercial Director at Knight Knox, stated: “There’s no doubt that now is the perfect time for foreign investors to enter the British real estate and rental market, especially with the decline in the value of the British pound and the resulting drop in British property prices. About 30% of our current business is with buyers from the Middle East, which is a good indicator of the health of the British real estate market and its ability to attract foreign investment.”

Cityscape Conference: Changing the Face of the Industry

The conference accompanying the exhibition, which runs for a full day under the theme “Changing the Face of the Industry,” three main sessions: a morning session titled “A Look at the Future of the Market,” which discusses views and proposals related to the real estate sector, and two evening sessions: “Real Estate Brokers Program” and ”Architectural Designers Program.”

Among the most prominent topics to be discussed at the conference are the emirate’s Green Spaces Law, Dubai’s Cluster Strategy, and an overview of the healthcare sector as an attractive factor in the real estate industry—all of which will be discussed by a number of experts and specialists from both the public and private sectors.
