The Cityscape Emerging Markets Awards unveiled the winning projects during a magnificent ceremony held yesterday evening, in which the selected project companies were honored. More than 300 initial entries competed, 44 projects from 17 different countries were shortlisted for the awards, where the winning projects, in both existing and future categories, embodied the pinnacle of excellence and creativity in project architecture.

A jury of 18 experts from prestigious real estate organizations such as the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, Macmacro International and HLM Architects selected the winning projects in 11 categories covering commercial, leisure and hospitality, community, culture and tourism, residential, retail and sustainability.

Veritas Design Group stole the show on the evening after winning the Best Existing Business Project and Best Sustainable Project awards for its Perbadanan Kimajuan Negeri Selangor headquarters project in Malaysia. Described by the jury as ’an outstanding sustainable project‘, it demonstrates that environmental sustainability in the sensible sense can create high-quality business assets.’
Recognizing the importance of environmental sustainability and the importance of sustainable business practices, the jury recognized the project as the best sustainable business project in Malaysia.
