The Public Investment Fund (PIF) has revealed the establishment of City Visions, an urban development company that aims to enhance the readiness of the Prophet's Mosque area to host more visitors to Madinah.

Madinah Visions aims to add an estimated 240,000 guests per day in approximately 80 hotels. <By developing the area east of the Prophet's Mosque, which covers an area of 1.3 million square meters, the company aims to add an estimated hotel capacity of 240,000 guests per day in about 80,000 hotel rooms and provide about 500 residential units, in addition to spaces that will be dedicated to prayer that can accommodate more than 200,000 worshipers. The company's work includes developing an integrated system of hotel, commercial and residential projects, in addition to developing and preparing centers and museums to enhance the religious, cultural and historical aspects and local content of Medina, as well as building strategic partnerships and providing meaningful investment opportunities for the participation of investors and the private sector, and the project aims to take into account the sanctity of the Prophet's Mosque and create an integrated system of pedestrian paths separated from vehicle traffic and develop public transport stations located at the end of the pedestrian corridors.
