With an estimated value exceeding one billion riyals, Makkah will host next Thursday—by order of the Ministry of Justice—the largest real estate auction of its kind for plots totaling approximately 50,000 square meters within the central district, which offer a unique view of both the Grand Mosque and the Jamarat Bridge. One of the plots consists of commercial storefronts stretching over 400 meters in length, facing the main street and directly toward the Grand Mosque.
The plots to be sold at the auction are located in three sites in Mahbas al-Jinn. The first is situated along King Khalid Road leading to the Grand Mosque and King Abdulaziz Road leading to Mina, next to the Al-Muhaisni Towers, with an area of 13,076.68 m², the second is near the King Abdulaziz Tunnels behind the Al-Asil Plaza Hotel, with an area of 6,093.70 m², and the third, with an area of 34,651.14 m², is located at the Al-Qatari Mosque intersection behind the Al-Muhaisni Towers.
According to Abdul-Salam Qadi Falata, the real estate sales agent authorized by the Enforcement Court of the Ministry of Justice, these plots are owned by Ahmed Samir Bashrahael and Muhammad Salim Al-Yafai, Abdul-Salam Falata noted that this auction is consistent with the urban renaissance and economic recovery that Makkah is experiencing following a Hajj season that was successful by all measures, and it will provide new impetus to many sectors.
