The Ministry of Housing announced the launch of 11 projects, including 9 off-plan projects, as part of a housing program in several governorates of the Makkah region, It will also launch five projects with a total of approximately 25,000 housing units, including apartments, townhouses, and villas, in addition to two prefabricated housing projects in Al-Qunfudhah and Al-Khurma. In the coming period, showrooms will be opened for viewing and reservations.
Saif Al-Suwailem, spokesperson for the Ministry of Housing, explained that the ministry has so far issued 378,1 orders for the payment of fees on vacant land within the designated urban area, and the total area of land subject to these fees amounts to 239,084,387 m² in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam. He expects payment orders for vacant land in Makkah to be announced during the first quarter of the current Hijri year, and in the event of non-payment, penalties will be imposed in accordance with the regulations.
