“Zain KSA targets more than 25.3 thousand homes and business locations with wireless broadband services

Zain Saudi Arabia has successfully completed the first high-speed wireless broadband project for remote areas in the Kingdom ahead of schedule. More than 147,000 citizens and residents will benefit from this project, The project will also help facilitate the expansion of e-government services and accelerate digital transformation efforts.

The project aims to extend service to 25,323 homes and commercial locations, which aligns with the telecommunications sector’s objectives under the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, The project is the first of its kind launched by the Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) with the aim of providing high-speed internet services to all regions of the Kingdom.

In this regard, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Salem Al-Ruwais, Governor of the Communications and Information Technology Commission, emphasized that the Commission attaches the utmost importance to this project, especially since it is the first of several similar projects the Authority is launching as part of its strategy to provide high-speed internet services to all regions of the Kingdom, which aligns with the strategic objectives of the telecommunications sector.

He explained that the successful completion of the project will contribute to the development of the Kingdom’s technical infrastructure and accelerate the provision of broadband services to citizens and residents in remote areas, enabling them to access high-speed internet services.

For his part, Eng. Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al-Dughaither, Chief Operating Officer at “Zain Saudi Arabia,” expressed his pride in the company’s achievement of this remarkable milestone, which serves as an important indicator of the level of technological advancement utilized by “Zain Saudi Arabia” and its partners have employed in this project. He noted that the company is seriously focused on actively contributing to the Kingdom’s digital transformation and working with relevant authorities to implement initiatives that will effectively contribute to achieving the goals of Vision 2030.
