With the participation of 211 speakers representing 32 countries, the Saudi Council of Engineers is organizing the International Engineering Conference and Exhibition, which will kick off under the theme “Raising Engineering Standards for National Development” on December 4 and will run for four days at the Four Seasons Hotel in Riyadh.
The conference is held under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, Minister of Commerce and Investment, and the attention and participation of a number of prominent figures at the local and international levels, led by His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Salman, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Tourism and National Heritage; the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Saudi Aramco, Eng. Khalid Al-Falih; and Eng. Ziad Al-Sheha, CEO of the Saudi Electricity Company, in addition to the participation of a number of officials from the private sector.
Speakers at the International Engineering Conference will discuss 12 engineering tracks across various engineering disciplines, covering many important topics in the field of engineering, The conference aims to create a conducive environment that facilitates the exchange of information, enhances communication among engineers, and fosters practical, collaborative relationships among all conference participants. Speakers will present approximately 200 papers discussing a number of key topics in the field of engineering, including green buildings, water desalination, mining and geological engineering, architectural heritage engineering, architectural engineering, renewable energy, project management, safety engineering, communications, operations and maintenance, and other specializations, each of which encompasses numerous important topics.
The conference aims to promote engineering standards, facilitate the exchange of information, and highlight the latest challenges and innovations in the engineering sector in line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, and to play a significant role in bridging the gap between engineering institutions, academics, organizations, associations, and technology providers.
This conference is considered one of the most important engineering conferences in the world, as it is the first specialized engineering conference to bring together a select group of experts, industry professionals, technicians, and experienced practitioners from most developed countries, such as the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, France, and Malaysia.
A specialized engineering exhibition will also be held on the sidelines of the conference, featuring 76 participating entities and 100 exhibitors from the public and private sectors, showcasing the latest technological advancements in the engineering, industrial, and technical fields.
