Components of the City
The Sports City is located just 3 kilometers from Jeddah Airport and was overseen by Saudi Aramco in collaboration with Al-Muhaidib Contracting Company. It was completed in record time following the issuance of a royal decree to establish a comprehensive sports city in the province of Jeddah. The Sports City project underscores King Abdullah’s deep concern for the nation’s youth and his appreciation for the importance of sports and their role in human development, as evidenced by his directive to build a world-class sports city.
