With a total value of 450 million dirhams, Fam Holding has begun construction on the Al Mahra Tourist Resort, located on Al Marjan Island in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah. The resort covers an area of 126,000 square feet, The resort is one of the company’s latest projects being developed in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, located just 45 minutes from Dubai. It features 548 rooms, a luxurious swimming pool, a private fitness center, a sports club, and a spa. The resort represents a new addition to Al Marjan Island, which is home to a collection of luxury resorts and properties, and is expected to open in early 2021.
In this regard, Dr. Faisal Ali Musa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of “FAM Holding,” affirmed that the company is strongly pursuing expansion in the real estate investment sector by capitalizing on the growth opportunities available in the UAE. He said: “The development of the Al Mahra Resort on Al Marjan Island aims to meet the needs of the tourism sector in Ras Al Khaimah specifically and the UAE in general, especially as it is currently experiencing remarkable growth, following the country’s emergence as a tourist destination visited by hundreds of tourists and visitors annually. Perhaps what distinguishes the new resort most is that it is inspired by the nature of the local environment surrounding it, and by its designs” ability to combine modernity and authenticity at the same time.“ He added: ”Fam Holding’s development of this resort is evidence of the company’s continued growth and a sign of the growth opportunities available in the UAE, which strengthens the foundations of the real estate sector there.“ Dr. Faisal Ali Musa noted that Al Marjan Island has become one of the most prominent tourist destinations in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, thanks to its luxury resorts and real estate developments, which are capable of meeting the needs of visitors to the new island.
Dr. Faisal Ali Musa emphasized that FAM Holding’s move to develop the Al Mahra Resort reinforces the company’s strengths and the solidity of its business, noting at the same time that construction work on the resort has begun. He said: “Following FAM Holding’s successful acquisition of 126,000 square feet, we have been able to begin construction on the project, which we expect to be ready by 2021, at which point we can officially begin operations.” He predicted that the resort would attract a large number of visitors due to the project’s distinctive designs and direct sea views, which will contribute to supporting the tourism vision in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah.
