More than 673 million riyals have been invested in municipal project contracts across various regions of the Kingdom

His Excellency the Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs, Engineer Abdul Latif bin Abdul Malik Al Sheikh, signed contracts for municipal projects in the Holy Capital, Madinah, Riyadh, and Jeddah, at a total cost of 673,818,715 riyals, These projects focused on the maintenance and improvement of bridges, tunnels, streets, and squares; the operation of irrigation networks, landscaping, and sanitation; and the control of mosquitoes that transmit dengue fever. These projects are part of the contracts signed during the fourth quarter of 2017.

The projects in Riyadh included the maintenance of streets and sidewalks in western Riyadh, as well as the maintenance and operation of irrigation networks and green spaces along the Northern and Western Ring Roads, as well as the first and second phases of the bridge and tunnel maintenance and improvement project, on-site monitoring of excavation work, and a project to oversee maintenance work in Riyadh, at a total cost of 351,565,641 riyals.Meanwhile, the projects signed for the Jeddah Municipality included a sanitation project for the collection and transport of solid waste at a total cost of (162,175,366 riyals).In the Holy City, a contract was signed for a project to carry out household control of mosquitoes that transmit dengue fever inside homes, at a total cost of 120,303,707 riyals. Meanwhile, projects signed in Madinah included a project for the maintenance of tree and plant irrigation west of Madinah at a cost of 39,774,000 riyals.
