With the participation of more than 70 specialized local and international companies, Cityscape Egypt will take place from March 28 to 31, at its new location at the Egypt International Exhibition Center in New Cairo. The exhibition will be held over an area of 20,000 square meters, where exhibitors will showcase their diverse projects alongside attractive discounts and flexible payment terms on the latest real estate developments.
Real estate investment opportunities will top the agenda for the seventh edition of Cityscape Egypt next month, amid the momentum the sector is experiencing from new and existing projects being developed by major developers in Egypt, and the number of exhibitors is expected to increase as the exhibition date approaches.
The 2018 real estate market index is reassuring and stable for real estate developers and investors interested in the Egyptian market. According to the Oxford Business Group, improved overall performance across all major sectors of the country, decisive monetary policies, and increased capital inflows to the desired economic recovery, and economic activity is expected to improve further in pace during the current year.
These indicators are clearly reflected in the International Monetary Fund’s approval of the second review report on Egypt’s economic reform program, which noted at the beginning of the year that the Egyptian economy is on the right track toward recovery and increased foreign investment.
For his part, Chris Spiller, Director of Cityscape Egypt, said: “During the seventh edition of Cityscape Egypt, developers are presenting a range of new, flexible, attractive, and competitive plans amid renewed market confidence among investors and homebuyers, supported by positive economic outlooks.”
Spiller added: “Despite the challenges faced by the Egyptian market in 2017, Cityscape Egypt set a record last year for the number of visitors over the course of the event compared to previous years, with a 25% increase in visitor numbers compared to 2016, noting that the exhibition space at Cityscape Egypt was expanded by approximately 10%.
Spiller said that the increase in visitor numbers revealed continued demand for residential real estate among Egyptians, even during the most difficult times, and he expects the same level of activity from developers and visitors this year, especially with the return of economic stability.”
Among the strategies that will be used to drive sales amid the increasingly competitive market this year, according to a recently published research report by JLL – Egypt, are extended payment plans and improved community amenities, as developers seek to offer added value for money.
Building integrated communities has also become a means of creating a competitive advantage to target customers seeking to maintain a dynamic lifestyle, as many developers are launching integrated residential projects that include commercial facilities, shopping centers, retail stores, and integrated hospitality and entertainment facilities.
The company’s real estate consultant says, “The ability to meet all the needs of homebuyers at affordable prices is the ideal solution, especially following the currency devaluation.”
Projects Real Estate Development, the platinum sponsor of this year’s Cityscape exhibition, will showcase its latest project: the Blues Tiffany Resort in Ras Al-Hikma on the North Coast, which is an integrated development featuring commercial facilities, shopping centers, retail stores, and comprehensive hospitality and entertainment amenities, with a beach stretching across an area of 250 feddans, The developer will offer an exclusive 10% discount during the exhibition period, in addition to flexible payment plans.
For his part, Engineer Hossam Bahaa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Projects Real Estate, expressed his optimism and confidence in the Egyptian real estate market, noting that the real estate sector is the engine of economic growth, and predicting that Egypt’s GDP will rise in the coming years, which will reduce the unemployment rate, attract foreign investment, and consequently lead to lower inflation.
During this year’s edition of the exhibition, Porto showcased the “Porto Vacation Club,” a beachfront project with flexible payment plans, reaffirming its belief in the current boom in the real estate market. For this reason, the company is always looking to create new opportunities for its members so they can become part of the real estate sector.
