The Ministry of Labor and Social Development, in collaboration with a number of government agencies, conducted 13,470 inspection visits in the tourist accommodation sector (hotels and furnished residential units) in various regions of the Kingdom, with the aim of verifying compliance with the Saudization of jobs in the sector that are restricted to Saudis.

The ministry’s official spokesperson, Khalid Abaalkheil, confirmed that the recent inspection tours found 11,416 establishments to be in compliance, while 2,054 establishments were found to be non-compliant. He noted that the inspection campaigns uncovered 2,210 violations, pointing out that 1,970 of these were related to Saudization, while the remaining 240 were other types of violations.

The sector-wide implementation covers all categories and sizes of establishments, whether they are mega, large, medium, or small.

Abalkhail said: “The Ministry is continuing its inspection campaigns across several sectors, including the tourism accommodation sector, to ensure compliance with Saudization decisions.” He emphasized that the Ministry is committed to creating job opportunities for Saudi men and women who wish to work in this sector, noting that the Saudization of vital sectors—which the Ministry of Labor and Social Development is working on—contributes to achieving the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, and increasing the participation rate of Saudi men and women in the labor market.

The spokesperson called on the Ministry’s clients to cooperate and report violations of the Saudization policy through the website “Together for Monitoring,” where reports will be handled immediately to ensure the improvement, development, and regulation of the labor market environment. He added that any violations of the decision can also be reported by calling the unified customer service number (19911).
