The InterContinental Abu Dhabi has announced the appointment of Mr. Neil Houghton as General Manager of the hotel; he will oversee all operations at the award-winning property, which boasts an exceptional location in the heart of the UAE capital.
A British national, Houghton brings over 30 years of extensive management experience in the hospitality industry. having served as General Manager for the InterContinental Hotels Group over the past decade, most recently as General Manager of the InterContinental Shanghai Pudong.Prior to that, he served as General Manager of the InterContinental Kunming and Crowne Plaza Shenzhen in China, and before that, as General Manager of the InterContinental Fiji World Golf Resort.
Hotten will assume strategic responsibility as General Manager of “InterContinental Abu Dhabi,” overseeing all hotel operations to ensure that the luxury destination’s exceptional standards are elevated to exceed guests‘ expectations and provide them with a warm and welcoming environment, in line with the prestigious brand’s philosophy of achieving guest satisfaction by consistently delivering the highest levels of luxury service.
