Kuwait's real estate prices drop slightly; demand for “commercial” outstrips supply

Posted in

During the first half of this year, the Kuwaiti real estate sector witnessed several changes that differed from the same periods in previous years, as the value of transactions rose significantly, while prices fluctuated markedly between increases and decreases.

Real estate experts agreed that property prices will stabilize, trending slightly downward due to several seasonal and economic factors, while emphasizing the sector’s resilience given high demand for real estate from investors, in addition to the fact that occupancy rates remain at acceptable levels.

They explained that the “commercial” sector is considered the strongest among real estate sectors, as demand far exceeds supply, which will keep it resilient in the coming period, as several factors have contributed to the sector’s recovery, including measures taken by the government to facilitate the business environment and the relative improvement in the economy.
