Posted in

The Taif Municipality, represented by the New Taif Sub-Municipality (Sub-Municipal Services and Municipalities Agency), has reclaimed more than 40,000 square meters of government-owned land within the service area of the New Taif Municipality that had been encroached upon in the northeastern part of the province. The reclaimed land included residential units, unauthorized shelters, concrete block walls, and courtyards, without the encroachers possessing any legal documentation. The Secretariat’s machinery, supported by security forces and the Encroachment Committee, began removing the structures after confirming the absence of legal deeds or official permits authorizing them to commence construction.

The municipality clarified that the violators took advantage of weekend holidays to carry out construction work and encroach on government land, and the Sub-Agency for Services and Municipalities is strengthening the efforts of the monitoring teams tasked with detecting encroachments and unauthorized construction across all areas of the province, and ensuring that the violators have no legal justification, The Secretariat noted that the directives of Taif’s Mayor, Engineer Muhammad bin Hamail Al-Hamail, mandate swift and immediate action against encroachments and their removal as soon as they occur, in accordance with royal directives and circulars from the Emirate of the Makkah Region, and the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs regarding this matter, given that such violations hinder development, waste funds and resources, and constitute the misuse of government land in clear violation of regulations and instructions.
