Dubai to host Global Franchise Exhibition and Forum next December

The Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Center will host the third edition of the Global Franchise Exhibition and Forum on December 5 and 6, with the participation of businessmen, decision makers and leaders in the field of franchising from the region and the world.

<The exhibition and forum provides a number of business opportunities in light of the participation of more than 100 brands from 80 countries around the world. This year will witness the participation of special pavilions for various countries and will host leading brands from Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, Malaysia and Turkey. Participating brands will be honored in the categories of “Best Stand Design” and ”Best Stand Activity”.

The Global Franchise Exhibition and Forum is an important event to support local SMEs in expanding regionally and globally. Last year, 42 percent of exhibitors were able to sign business deals worth US$500,000, while 18 percent of exhibitors reached US$1 million and 3 percent of exhibitors achieved business deals worth US$1 million.

According to the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, this sector continues to dominate the franchising market in the region and it is expected that fast food will control 40 percent of the franchising market while the number of F&B franchise operators will increase to more than 25 percent in the coming years.
