During this year’s summer and the Hajj season, Taif welcomed approximately 3 million tourists, visitors, and vacationers from last Ramadan until now, leading to a striking and noticeable increase in occupancy rates for hotels and furnished apartments.

As a result of the province’s appeal to tourists and residents, the number of tourist accommodation facilities—including hotels, furnished residential units, tourist residential resorts, and rural inns—has grown steadily over the past few years, This has contributed to increased investment in residential facilities and lodging establishments of various categories within this vital service sector, which constitutes an important pillar of the province’s thriving tourism sector.

Statistics indicate that Taif’s land and air entry points received approximately 54 percent of land pilgrims from within the Kingdom and the Gulf states on their way to Makkah and the holy sites, and upon their return, in addition to Taif International Airport receiving Hajj flights from all regions of the Kingdom as well as Gulf, Arab, and Asian countries.
