The Public Transport Authority clarified yesterday, Wednesday, that the image circulating on social media, which stated “Connecting the Arabian Gulf to the Red Sea in its final stages” relates to an old news story. The Authority noted that the story is more than a year old and dates back to August 2, 2017.

The Authority explained via its Twitter account that the reference to connecting the Gulf to the Red Sea through rail transport projects between the Kingdom’s two coasts refers to a study of a land bridge project.
