The Ministry of Housing announced that applicants who were not allocated housing during the first round of the housing allocation program will be automatically moved to the next round, Meanwhile, the Ministry confirmed via its official account that an announcement regarding the latest allocation results and the start date for delivery will be made within days, following the conclusion of the product selection period, during which the Ministry asked beneficiaries to register their preferences from among the available housing options last month.
The Ministry emphasized the importance of canceling a previous application to the Real Estate Fund if the Ministry requests this action through the beneficiary’s account on the «Iskan» portal, Meanwhile, the Ministry denied via its official account that household income is a factor in repaying the product’s value, clarifying that household income is used solely to determine priority criteria, and that deductions for the product’s installments after allocation will be made from the applicant’s own income.
It is worth noting that the Ministry had previously announced its intention to distribute 306,629 housing units to eligible recipients following the completion of the product selection process; however, the Ministry did not specify a particular date for the start of distribution, It merely stated that distribution would take place after applicants who met the eligibility criteria had completed their unit selection process. The Ministry required them to specify their choices from among the units available in each region and governorate, It sent text messages to all those eligible for housing support, inviting those who wish to modify their choices to log in via the «Iskan» portal and make the changes through the «Select Products» icon, If they do not respond to the request to make changes, the options they selected when they first submitted their application will be finalized, after which the available housing units will be allocated to citizens according to their choices and preferences, The Ministry confirmed that ready-to-occupy housing units will be distributed to citizens immediately after allocation, noting that a date for the distribution of other housing units will be set once they are completed and delivered to citizens.
