Engineer Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadli, Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, confirmed that the Tabuk region is home to projects in the fields of water, environment, and agriculture that are still under implementation, with a total cost exceeding one billion riyals, and that it will see additional projects, noting that the ministry is continuing to implement environmental, water, and agricultural strategies to achieve the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 while continuing to complete existing projects and launch new ones.
This came following the inauguration by Prince Fahd bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Tabuk Region, the day before yesterday, of 10 environmental and water projects serving the cities, governorates, and villages of the Tabuk Region.
He noted that the leadership’s directives always emphasize the importance of identifying the regions’ service needs and monitoring project implementation, adding that he had inspected a number of major projects and farms in the Tabuk region, met with local residents, and listened to their suggestions and the region’s needs.
It is worth noting that the Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture inspected a number of projects in the region, including two environmental services projects: the construction of main lines and sewage networks in the city of Tabuk (Phase 12), as well as the construction of sewage lines and networks in Tabuk City (Phase 14). He also toured the Sharurah Basin and the treatment plant, and the second afforestation site adjacent to the plant, which covers an area of 10 million square meters and where 350,000 trees have been planted to date. He also visited the Tabuk Agricultural Company and the farm of Ali Al-Hamoudi, one of the largest farms in the region.
He also held a meeting with staff from the Ministry’s regional branch and the Tabuk Water Unit, urging them to provide optimal service to citizens, streamline procedures, and work to implement the wise leadership’s directives regarding citizen services.
