Radisson Hotel Group, in partnership with Madaif, announced the development of seven Moroccan hotels, including four that will open later this month, in prestigious tourist destinations such as Al Hoceima, Saïdia, and Taghazout. With the addition of more than 1,600 rooms to the new portfolio of resorts and residences, the group’s number of Moroccan properties will rise to 10, accelerating its strategy to reach 15 hotels—both operational and under development—in the country by 2025.

Elie Younes, Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer for Radisson Hotel Group in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, stated: “We are pleased to announce this portfolio of seven new hotels, as it will solidify our growing presence in Morocco and reaffirm our commitment to the country and its future. Morocco is Africa’s number one tourist destination in terms of foreign arrivals, serving as a bridge between Europe and Africa, and represents a priority market for our African development strategy given its vast potential. We remain committed to the country’s royal vision, a new campaign for Morocco that supports the development of both domestic and international tourism. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our business partners for their trust in our brands and our teams as we look forward to opening these world-class hotels in Morocco together.”

Ramsay Rankosi, Vice President of Development for Radisson Hotel Group in Africa and Turkey, said: “This diverse portfolio includes four converted resorts and residences and three new resorts and residences spread across Al Hoceima, Saïdia, and Taghazout, and it strengthens our serviced apartments and global hospitality offerings. In addition, these new resorts—which complement our existing projects in Marrakech and Casablanca—further solidify the position of our flagship Radisson Blu brand and the expansion of our upscale and rapidly growing Radisson brand in Africa. There is no doubt that the addition of these hotels, along with the opening of four new ones, has helped strengthen and diversify our position in this key market, where we hope to continue our rapid expansion.”

Mamoun Al-Alami Lahimi, CEO of Madaif, the owner company, said: “We are pleased to strengthen our position as pioneers in tourism investment in Morocco through this collaboration with Radisson Hotel Group to open seven hotels in three strategic destinations with high growth potential. These projects include the opening of two new resorts with approximately 600 rooms this year in Al Hoceima, creating 1,500 direct and indirect jobs. In addition, four properties will undergo rebranding to enhance our offerings and improve the customer experience, and a seventh hotel is currently under development. We are pleased to build this relationship with Radisson Hotel Group through a dedicated collaboration within Madaif’s new asset management policy, with the aim of maximizing the performance of its project portfolio.”
