The “White Lands” program confirmed an increase in land registrations by owners on the online platform in both Taif and Jazan, as the statutory registration deadline expired today, while the program has registered large areas of white land in Madinah and the Asir region, where the registration deadline expired at the end of last June.
It noted that failure to register land that meets the conditions of the first phase —namely, that the land area be 10,000 square meters or more within the announced geographical scope—exposes its owners, immediately after the land is registered by the program, to fines of up to 100% of the fee value.
The program aims to increase the supply of developed land to achieve a balance between supply and demand, as well as providing residential land at affordable prices, protecting fair competition, and limiting monopolies. The system will be extended to other cities, with details to be announced in the coming period.
It should be noted that the enforcement system for payment orders issued by the program came into effect on 12/22/1441 AH, which means that the issuance of payment orders for “white land” are final and must be paid. According to the program’s regulatory and executive regulations, landowners or their representatives are responsible for submitting the necessary documents and data and registering them within the statutory period. and if the program identifies unregistered land, the applicable fines will be imposed in accordance with the regulations.
