Deputy Minister of Municipal and Housing Affairs Inspects “Sakani” Projects and the Comprehensive Center in Medina

His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Municipal, Rural Affairs, and Housing, Engineer Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Badeer, inspected a number of housing projects in the Madinah region as part of the “Sakani” program in partnership with the private sector. The Madinah region is home to 9 housing projects comprising 9,287 housing units, in addition to 9 housing plans providing 7,732 plots of land.
During his visit to the projects, His Excellency praised the advanced stage of development, noting the high rates of completion, progress in construction, and the smooth progress of work, emphasizing the need to continue completing the projects efficiently and on schedule in preparation for their handover to beneficiaries, while noting that the Ministry continuously monitors the progress of the projects and verifies their implementation to ensure they are carried out appropriately in line with the beneficiaries“ expectations, This is part of efforts to facilitate home ownership for Saudi families and increase its rate in accordance with the targets of the Housing Program—one of the programs of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
Al-Badeer emphasized that home ownership for Saudi families is a priority given the focus on the housing sector and the unwavering support from the wise leadership—may God support them—confirming that the ”Sakani“ program, in partnership with real estate developers, will continue to launch integrated housing projects, alongside other additional housing options that include the purchase of ready-built units, residential land, and self-construction.
His Excellency visited a number of projects and developments in the region, including the ”Al-Sakab Avenue“ project, Durrat Al-Madinah 1, Durrat Al-Madinah 2, and the Al-Jawhar project, in addition to a number of plots of land such as the Al-Yasmin project site on the Hail Expressway and the Al-Naqel and Al-Hadhbah Al-Haris developments.
His Excellency’s tour of the region also included a visit to the Comprehensive Housing Center, which represents a qualitative leap in the level of services provided to program beneficiaries to enable them to own their first home through simple and accessible procedures, The Comprehensive Center in Madinah spans an area of over 1,000 square meters, showcasing all residential projects in the region at a single location. It provides beneficiaries with all housing services and facilitates the signing of financing contracts with banks and finance companies in a single visit.
It is worth noting that the Madinah region includes a number of housing projects and plans across various governorates and centers in the region, which have been made available for pre-reservation by ”Sakani“ beneficiaries via the website and smartphone app. The Sakani website and app also allow for the electronic issuance of land contracts and provide an ”Engineering Designs” service to facilitate access to construction plans for self-builders, as well as access to a real estate advisor and the ability to register and receive immediate eligibility.
