CNBC Arabia reported, citing sources, that the Kingdom is currently working to accelerate the pace of work on the implementation of projects in NEOM.
The sources explained that Saudi Arabia is working to issue tenders to build labor cities with a density of up to 100,000 workers.
The sources indicated that the concerned authorities are in the process of issuing between 5 and 10 tenders in the next six months to build the necessary labor cities for the accommodation of workers, each of which has a capacity of about 10,000 workers.
The sources said that Deloitte is advising the Saudi government on projects to establish labor cities.
In October 2017, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman announced the launch of the NEOM project, supported by more than 500 billion dollars over the coming years by Saudi Arabia, the Public Investment Fund, as well as local and international investors.
