The total number of approved plans since the beginning of this year 2021 in the Eastern Province has reached about (19) plans, (12) of them in Dammam city, (6) in Khobar governorate, and one in Qaryat Al-Aliya governorate, indicating that the total area of the plans reached (12,183,185.7) square meters.

The Municipality pointed out that the Secretary of the Eastern Province, M. Fahad bin Mohammed Al-Jubeir approved during the last period the strategic plan to activate the Geographic Information System (GIS), and the action plan to modernize and develop the GIS, which comes with the aim of developing geographic information systems and fully transforming to electronic services, which comes within the ”Digital" strategy.
