Across 10 diverse categories, the the Saudi Contractors Authority the first edition of the 2021 Construction Sector Excellence Awards, which opened for registration and will remain open until January 30, 2022.

The initiative aims to highlight innovations in the local industry and to develop and promote the construction sector in the Kingdom. It also aims to motivate and support those working in the sector; and to work diligently to raise the award’s eligibility standards, as entries are evaluated by local and international experts to elevate the quality of submissions and showcase global best practices.

The award includes several diverse tracks falling under the following categories: (Best Contractor, Best Project, Best Factory, Best Entrepreneur, Safety and Health, Human Capital Development, Best Leader, Best Innovative Company, Innovation, Digital Transformation). The Authority has also designated three separate awards aimed at encouraging contractors to take advantage of the services provided by the Saudi Contractors Authority, as well as to regulate the sector and develop its workforce. These include: (Academic Programs Award, Consulting Services Award, and Electronic Contracts Award).

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Contractors Authority, Engineer Zakaria Al-Abdulqader, emphasized that the Authority’s work and initiatives are undertaken to achieve success and contribute to development in the construction sector; and in pursuit of the requirements of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
