The Minister of Municipal, Rural Affairs, and Housing, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, announced plans to the allocation of 4 municipal services in cities over the coming year, 2022, to provide 157 investment opportunities, in addition to the 18,000 investment opportunities available on the municipal investment platform «Fursat,» noting that the active partnership with 70 private-sector real estate developers has resulted in the construction of 150,000 housing units at an average price of 700,000 riyals across 112 projects, to be followed by the provision of 300,000 new housing units in the coming years, including 147,000 in the city of Riyadh.

Al-Hogail also highlighted during his participation in 2022 Budget Forum to community partnership efforts and enhanced cooperation with the nonprofit sector, which contributed to the establishment of the «Honoring the Deceased» Association and the «Preserving Grace» Association, in addition to providing 60,000 housing units to the most needy families among the beneficiaries of the Developmental Housing Program. The «Jood Al-Iskan» platform also served more than 6,500 families through its housing and rent support programs, with total community contributions exceeding 552 million riyals, and addressed more than 80% citizen reports via the «Snap and Send» feature on the «Baladi» app, receiving 750,000 reports from citizens, and conducting opinion polls among more than half a million citizens.
