The wise leadership has given the development of the contracting sector great attention due to the vital and effective role that this sector plays in strengthening the national economy and contributing to the localization of jobs.
The Ministry explained that one of the most prominent aspects of the great interest in this sector is the issuance of the Royal Decree approving the formation of the Permanent Coordination Committee for the Development of the Contracting Sector, headed by His Excellency the Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al Haqeel and the membership of representatives of (9) entities, namely: Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Economy and Planning, Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing, Ministry of Investment, Saudi Council of Engineers, Saudi Contractors Authority, and Government Spending and Projects Efficiency Authority to promote this sector to face all the challenges facing it.
