With broad participation from officials, investors, and those interested in the real estate sector in the Kingdom, the Makkah Chamber of Commerce is organizing today, Saturday, February 26, 2022, the third edition of the Real Estate Developers Forum, at the Makkah Chamber of Commerce Exhibition and Events Center as part of the Chamber’s celebrations marking the 75th anniversary of its founding.
In its first session, the forum will discuss “the role of government agencies in achieving real estate development in Makkah, the future vision for Makkah’s real estate sector, and investment opportunities.” Speakers will include the Governor of the General Authority for State Real Estate, the CEO of the Capital Market Authority, the CEO of the Madinah Region Development Authority, the Acting Governor of the General Authority for State Real Estate, and the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs—represented by the Undersecretary for Investment and Revenue Development, the Undersecretary for Land and Surveying, and the General Supervisor of the Vacant Land Fees Program—will speak on the topics “The Role of Government Agencies in Achieving Real Estate Development in Mecca, the Future Vision for Real Estate in Mecca, and Investment Opportunities.”
The second session is dedicated to the private sector and will feature presentations by the CEO of Kanana Development and Construction Company, the CEO of the National Housing Company, the CEO of Umm Al-Qura Development and Construction Company, the CEO of Awqaf Investment Company, the CEO of Samaya Investment Company, and the CEO of Development and Projects at Al-Muzaini Real Estate Company, under the themes “The role of the private sector in achieving real estate development in Makkah, strengthening partnerships for empowerment and incentives, improving real estate services, humanizing the city of Makkah in urban planning, and the challenges of real estate development and ways to address them.”
The forum is one of the initiatives of the National Real Estate Committee, as part of the real estate committees’ efforts within the chambers of commerce to foster communication and integration, providing stakeholders in the sector with opportunities for further collaboration to develop visions that help achieve their goals of serving the sector and supporting the growth of the Kingdom’s urban economies.
