The total value of non-oil exports of goods and re-exports reached approximately 24 billion riyals in January (January) 2022, according to preliminary official data released by the Saudi Export Development Authority, while the total value of non-oil exports last year reached 274 billion riyals.

The Authority estimated the volume of Saudi exports at 69 million metric tons in 2021, with exports reaching 180 countries. It noted that the number of national products exported worldwide, according to the Harmonized System (HS_08), totaled 2,505.

The Export Development Authority revealed that 2,100 companies have been registered in the “Made in Saudi Arabia” program to date, with more than 6,500 products registered so far.
It is worth noting that in mid-February, Saudi Arabia began waiving customs declaration fees on Saudi exports, with the aim of boosting exports from local industries, streamlining customs procedures, and enhancing the export environment in the Kingdom. This measure has been applied to all Saudi exports.

In this regard, the Authority noted that this step will help support the national industries sector and promote its growth, facilitate export operations and related logistics services, and support the Kingdom’s goals and aspirations to enhance its international competitiveness.
