the Royal Commission for the City of Makkah and the Holy Sites has announced the start of the evacuation phase for properties slated for demolition and removal in the area covered by the development plan in “Al-Kadwa” in the Al-Masfalah neighborhood of Makkah, This coincides with the disconnection of utilities—including water, electricity, and similar services—over the next few days. The Commission noted that the implementing agencies will resume demolition and removal work on August 13, 2022.
It is worth noting that the Royal Commission for Makkah City and the Holy Sites had previously announced the date for resuming demolition and removal work in the Al-Kadwa area, located in the Al-Masfala neighborhood of Makkah, covering an area of approximately 686,056.08 square meters, as one of the informal settlements subject to development under the comprehensive strategy being implemented by the Ministerial Committee to Address the Situation of Informal Settlements in Makkah.
