The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz - may God protect him - laid the foundation stone of Samhan Heritage Hotel when he sponsored the opening ceremony of Al-Bujairi neighborhood in the historic Diriyah last Thursday (20 Jumada Al-Thani, 1436 H), which is the first project of the Saudi Company for Heritage Hotels and Hospitality, which was recently launched by the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities in partnership with the Public Investment Fund and a number of national and private sector companies.

The Samhan neighborhood in historic Diriyah is one of the sites handed over to the SCTA for a project to rehabilitate it and turn it into a heritage hotel. <HRH Prince Sultan bin Salman, President of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities and member of the Supreme Committee for the Development of Diriyah, explained during his speech at the ceremony that Samhan Heritage Hotel is the first specialized heritage hotel in the Kingdom, and it is the first project of the Heritage Hotels and Hospitality Company established by the Commission with the participation of the Public Investment Fund and a number of contributing companies that believed in the feasibility of investing in the heritage industry and the resulting national added value and contribution to the crystallization of national identity values and investment and employment opportunities.
