With the participation of more than 50 companies, the 11th Saudi International Water, Electricity, and Power Generation Exhibition kicks off tomorrow, Tuesday, at the Dhahran Expo Center in Dammam, under the patronage of the Minister of Water and Electricity, Engineer Abdullah bin Abdulrahman Al-Hussain. The exhibition showcases the most important innovations and mega-projects from the world’s leading companies, and this year’s event features broad international participation from several countries, most notably: the United States, the United Arab Emirates, China, and Greece. The exhibition highlights the Kingdom’s most significant initiatives and achievements in key areas related to the development and advancement of power generation in the Kingdom and the Gulf states, in addition to a number of technical and economic issues. The exhibition also presents, through these exhibits, the most important solutions and approaches in the electricity and water sectors, as companies review the technical challenges they faced while carrying out their projects in cities around the world. During scientific sessions, participating experts will discuss the rapid growth in demand for electricity, increasing loads, and the process of interconnecting power grids, as well as financial investments and the involvement of the local and foreign private sectors in local development and the management of electricity projects in the Kingdom.
