“Zamil Air Conditioners wins SAR 348 million contract for Dar Al Hijra project in Madinah

Zamil Central Air Conditioners Company Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Zamil Industrial Investment Company (Zamil Industrial), has signed a new contract worth SAR 348 million with Al Fouzan Trading and General Contracting Company to supply advanced chiller systems to the Saudi Real Estate Development Company (Dar Al Hijra) project owned by the Public Investment Fund of the Ministry of Finance in Medina, Western Province of Saudi Arabia.

The scope of work for the contract, which is the largest single contract in Zamil's history, includes the supply of 80 customized water-cooled centrifugal chillers. The scope of work in the contract, which is the largest single contract in Zamil Air Conditioners' history, includes the supply of 80 units of water-cooled centrifugal chillers with a total cooling capacity of 200,000 refrigeration tons to be used in the first phase of the Saudi Real Estate Development Company (Dar Al-Hijrah) project in Medina, which covers an area of about 1.6 million square meters and can accommodate about 120,000 pilgrims with all the necessary services for them.

A total of 200 chillers will be supplied to the project. 200,000 tons of cooling will be generated by 80 centrifugal chillers powered by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries of Japan, including chiller management systems, transformers, refrigerant pump systems and automatic refrigerant line pipe cleaning systems, making it the largest central cooling plant in the world.
