ZATCA confirmed that all beneficiary establishments have met the requirements and criteria that grant them approval to join the program, stressing that other establishments can join the program by applying to ZATCA through its website (zatca.gov.sa) and filling out the registration form.
About the conditions that must be met by the beneficiary establishments. <The conditions that must be met by the facility to join the program include compliance with the Authority's requirements, the absence of customs or non-customs violations during the previous 3 years, the importance of having a suitable system for keeping records and documents electronically, the financial solvency of the main commercial facility and its affiliated facilities, the existence of a specific and clear policy and procedures in the facility to apply security standards with regard to shipments - containers, means of transportation, commercial facilities, warehouses and factories of the facility, and a policy for education, training and continuous awareness of employees regarding awareness of security compliance standards. It is noteworthy that the Saudi Certified Economic Operator Priority Program is a program based on the concept of partnership between the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority and commercial establishments, which contributes to enhancing the security of the global supply chain, while providing more benefits to facilitate global trade between countries. The program is considered a global standard, as it is part of the Framework Convention on Standards for the Security and Facilitation of International Trade of the World Customs Organization since 2005, as well as a component of the WTO Trade Facilitation Agreement that came into force in February 2017.
