Human Resources Management

Sami Abdulaziz

The human element remains the most important and valuable asset of institutions and companies; therefore, employees must be selected carefully, with a focus on hiring those with the appropriate academic qualifications and personal skills. The company’s employees and staff are referred to as "human resources."  For the company to achieve the highest level of performance and work quality, there must be a Human Resources Department responsible for selecting new employees, organizing them, determining their salaries, training them, and providing the best work environment.

According to the hiring sequence, the first person to be hired by the company should be the human resources manager, whose primary responsibility is to select the rest of the employees and staff in accordance with business needs. Department managers then begin to identify their staffing needs, estimate the number of employees required, and assess their competencies, educational background, and the appropriate specialization for the position. The Human Resources Department then recruits the best talent, encourages them to join the company’s team, and determines appropriate salaries for each individual based on their academic qualifications, experience, and skills.

The Importance of Human Resources Management

For a company to remain a leader and withstand competition, it needs supporting factors, the most important of which is having qualified and trained individuals with sufficient experience and skills aligned with the company’s goals of achieving excellence and superiority. To achieve this, Human Resources must adopt a scientific approach and interact with the company’s employees in a professional manner.
