The number of establishments holding the establishment size certificate issued by the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises “<a style="color: #ff0000;" href="https://amlak.net."Enterprises", during 2022 about 24,540 micro, small and medium enterprises, and one of the most important features of this Certificate exempts local enterprises from submitting the initial guarantee when they wish to enter government tenders.

The Certificate <span style="color: #ff0000; <Monshaat explained that the establishment size certificate provides many advantages, most notably: Providing a greater opportunity for enterprises in government tenders through mechanisms that favor local SMEs by assuming the prices of other enterprises' offers are 10 percent higher in all contracts except supply contracts, giving priority in limited tenders, in addition to giving priority in direct procurement, and when offers are equal and the competition terms and specifications do not provide for splitting the competition between equal offers, local SMEs will have priority in awarding the contract.

Conditions for obtaining a facility size certificate:

The availability of a valid commercial register for the establishment, or a labor file number in the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development.

The commercial register and facility file must be in active status.

Revenue data or a completed declaration is required at the time of the certificate issuance process. <The number of employees of the establishment shall not be less than one and not more than 249. <The facility's annual revenue does not exceed 200 million riyals. <The applicant must have one of the roles approved by both the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development.
