With the participation of more than 30 countries and 100 speakers representing the public and private sectors, His Excellency Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, opened the proceedings this Monday morning for second edition of the Future of Real Estate Forum and the accompanying exhibition, which will run for three days.
The second edition of the forum brings together a select group of economists, investors, decision-makers, and experts from the real estate sector, both locally and globally, in the presence of Their Royal Highnesses the Princes, Their Excellencies the Ministers, and senior officials from various government agencies and the private sector.
The forum’s program includes a number of sessions and workshops discussing various topics covering the present and future of real estate. The first day of the forum will focus on planning, integration, and harmonization in the real estate sector, with the ministerial session reviewing government efforts in the development and sustainability of the real estate sector, the impact of “Minavers” on the sector, regional efforts and their impact on real estate growth in the region, and the future of investment, sustainable development, and the advancement of the real estate sector.
Sessions of the Future of Real Estate Forum
The sessions on the first day will also discuss real estate regulations and the role of oversight, the private sector between regulation and empowerment, challenges and solutions in the real estate sector, urban planning and the humanization of cities and how to achieve them in major projects; the government’s real estate leasing system; the efforts and strategy of the Central Jeddah Company in urbanization and development; the impact of exhibitions and conferences on the real estate industry; and the importance of investing in event centers.
The sessions on the second day will cover the importance of social infrastructure in improving and enhancing quality of life; the role of financial institutions in supporting the real estate and housing sectors; development and investment in real estate auctions and platforms; innovative solutions for beneficiary services; governance and digitization in the real estate sector, real estate disputes and alternative dispute resolution, digital transformation in the real estate ecosystem, real estate appraisal, services and infrastructure in the real estate sector, and human capacity development and raising professional standards in the sector.
On its third day, the forum’s agenda will include improving the quality of life and enhancing services in housing projects; the role of real estate technology and Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies in the sector’s growth; the role of the nonprofit sector in sustainable development, urban development and the humanization of cities, the real estate brokerage system and real estate registration, innovation and smart solutions, ”LinkedIn” and ”Snapchat” and their marketing roles in the real estate sector, the efforts of chambers of commerce and their real estate committees, and the impact of modern construction technologies on real estate and its valuation.
For his part, Abdullah Al-Harbi, CEO of the Future of Real Estate Forum, announced that preparations and arrangements for the launch of the forum’s second edition have been completed, noting that delegations participating in the forum have arrived in Riyadh to take part in the panel discussions and workshops. He emphasized that this edition will see broad and notable participation from sponsors, strategic partners, and success partners, expressing his delight at the participation of the World Real Estate Federation, which has 70 member countries and more than 1.5 million members.
Al-Harbi explained that the forum will feature participation from the Ministries of Municipal and Housing Affairs, Investment, Human Resources and Social Development, Justice, and Economy and Planning, while the list of agencies includes the General Authority for State Real Estate, the General Authority for Transportation, the General Real Estate Authority, the Valuation Authority, the Saudi Contractors Authority, the Capital Market Authority, the Riyadh Municipality, Manshaat, “Wafi,” Ejar, and the Dir’iya Development Authority ”Sakani” and other entities.
