His Royal Highness Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Governor of the Makkah Region, affirmed that Taif is undergoing a significant phase of development, including projects to revitalize Old Taif and West Taif, as well as the New Taif Master Plan and its included projects—such as the Okaz Market and the Technology Oasis—in addition to the new airport. He emphasized the importance of integrated efforts across all sectors to elevate Taif to the status it deserves.
He made these remarks yesterday while receiving the Chairman and board members of the Taif Investment and Tourism Company at his office in Jeddah, highlighting the significance of Taif Province as a key gateway to the Holy City, in addition to its tourism assets, which must be invested in and developed.
His Highness emphasized the need for cooperation between the company and the Development Integration Center, which has already begun operations, to achieve development in Taif, particularly in the tourism sector.
It is worth noting that the Taif Investment and Tourism Company, which was established in 1420 AH, works to establish and manage tourist facilities and infrastructure, construct residential units, tourist centers, and hotels, and participate in road, tunnel, and bridge projects, in addition to establishing and managing industrial, agricultural, and livestock projects.
His Highness listened to a presentation by the company’s chairman and board members on the most prominent tourism events scheduled for this summer, as well as the tourism projects the company intends to undertake in the coming period. The company also honored the Governor of Makkah with a commemorative gift.
