Riyadh – Abdulrahman Al-Shahrani: With the participation of 750 local and international entities from 40 different countries, the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center is hosting the 11th edition of ”The Big 5 Saudi" exhibition, from February 18–21, 2023. The event brings together 28,000 construction industry experts and showcases approximately 15,000 products and solutions in the field of building and construction.
Eight main sections at the exhibition
The exhibition comprises eight sections showcasing building envelopes and special constructions, interior spaces and building finishes, construction technologies and innovations, building materials and tools, factories, machinery, and vehicles, prefabricated and modular construction, security and access control, as well as solar energy, mechanical, electrical, and engineering services.
Attracting Construction Industry Experts
On this occasion, Mohammed Kazi, Vice President of dmg events, the exhibition’s organizer, stated: " The Big 5 Saudi is the first event of its kind to bring together construction industry experts from around the world to showcase the latest innovations and developments in the construction sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as the construction sector plays a vital role in driving the Kingdom’s economy forward, being the second-largest non-oil sector in Saudi Arabia. In a related context, in January 2022, approximately $298 billion was allocated to real estate projects under construction, and the Saudi real estate construction market is expected to grow by 9%, reaching a total of $324 billion according to ABiQ Business Intelligence. This total includes $18 billion from real estate projects completed in 2023, Amid ongoing announcements of massive projects across the Kingdom, the global construction sector faces a need to expand the production and distribution of its products to accommodate all these projects.
