Riyadh - Mohammed Jamous: Biban 23, organized by the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises «Monshaat», the importance of opening many doors and windows to work and supporting low-income companies, and specializing them with different investment opportunities.

Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing Majid al-Haqeel revealed that the ministry has offered about 11,000 opportunities to support small and medium enterprises over the past years, giving more space to obtain job opportunities that suit individuals.

During a panel discussion titled "The importance of entrepreneurship for the development of the economy and the growth of promising sectors in the Kingdom," he emphasized that entrepreneurs and businessmen of all categories are partners in decision-making, noting that entrepreneurs enjoy membership in more than 11 committees within the ministry.

In the residential sector, he noted the creation of a program to support and empower real estate developers, and a program to convert contractors into real estate developers, which contributed to the provision of more than 10,000 housing units, partly in partnership with National Housing.

Supply Chains

For its part,The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources has launched an initiative for investment opportunities in specialized local supply chains for SMEs.

The Ministry's spokesperson Jarrah Al-Jarrah explained that the initiative aims to study and analyze 10,000 locally manufactured and imported products, identify the criteria for identifying opportunities in the associated value chains, and build 100 detailed investment opportunities covering several sectors that support the national strategy for industry and target small and medium-sized factories in the Kingdom.

He stated that the initiative aims to localize local supply chains and provide more than 600 investment opportunities for entrepreneurs, expecting the total investment volume to reach 4 billion riyals.
