With a budget of $7.8 billion, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia presented its bid “Riyadh Expo 2030” to the Bureau International des Expositions in Paris, Engineer Ibrahim bin Mohammed Al-Sultan, CEO of the Royal Commission for Riyadh City, said that the Kingdom plans to complete the Expo 2030 venue ahead of schedule.
He added, “By 2028, all preparations for hosting Expo 2030 will be complete, and we plan to welcome more than 120 million visitors in 2030.” Al-Sultan noted that the Expo site relies on clean energy and adheres to environmental standards.
In a speech, Saudi Minister of Investment Khalid Al-Falih said that hosting Expo aligns with Saudi Arabia’s boundless investment environment.
“The Expo site will be a global hub for companies seeking opportunities in the Kingdom, and we will provide our resources and capabilities to ensure the success of this global investment laboratory.” Al-Falih noted that the private sector will be given significant involvement in organizing Expo Riyadh 2030.
Riyadh Expo 2030 A Unique Edition
For her part, Princess Reema bint Bandar, Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the United States, said that Saudi Arabia is committed to organizing the best edition of the Expo in its history, and that Riyadh is an exceptional global tourist destination, and will be ready to host Expo 2030. She explained that a special visa will be provided for attendees of Riyadh Expo 2030, which will focus on communication and inclusivity across all cultures.
