The Ministry of Justice began accepting requests for enforcement of the Standardized Residential Lease Agreement in enforcement courts in June 2018, recognizing it as an enforceable instrument through the “Standardized Lease Agreement” following the establishment of an electronic link with the Ministry of Housing. This allows the “Residential Lease Agreement” allows the entitled party to file directly with the enforcement court through a seamless and clear electronic process.

This electronic integration helps reduce the caseload on general courts, as enforcement courts accept lease agreements as enforceable instruments, ensuring that rights holders obtain their rights more quickly and without having to go through the previous processes of filing lawsuits and attending hearings, which used to require significant effort and time.
Through the “Standard Lease Agreement” registered on the “Ejar” electronic network, property owners can now file claims directly with enforcement courts and departments via the Ministry’s online portal if a tenant fails to pay rent when it is due.
