A recent report revealed that the annual rent per square meter for Class A office space is 1,200 riyals, while the rate for Class B 700 riyals per square meter annually in Jeddah and the Eastern Province. Indicators suggest that demand will rise in the near term, and the completion of new office projects will put upward pressure on vacancy rates.
The Knight Frank semi-annual report noted that the real estate and business services sector grew at a rate of 4.11%, while the government services sector grew by 3.31%, The report indicated that office occupancy rates in Riyadh and Jeddah continued to grow during the 12 months through June 2015, leading to stability in rental rates, Rental rates for Class A and Class B offices in Riyadh reached 1,300 riyals and 900 riyals per square meter per year, respectively.
