30% of municipal services to be privatized next year 2024

The Ministry of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing has revealed that it aims to privatize 30% of municipal services within the next year after completing 19%, as part of its plan to privatize 70% of its services.

The Ministry continues its efforts at the level of municipal services. The Ministry continues its efforts in developing and humanizing cities and upgrading their services to meet the aspirations of their residents and visitors through various programs and initiatives, in line with the Kingdom Vision 2030, more than 30% of whose objectives are directly and indirectly addressed by the Ministry.

The Ministry reviewed a number of programs and initiatives to achieve this in line with Saudi Vision 2030, of which the Ministry is concerned with more than 30 percent of its objectives directly and indirectly. <During the recently held 2024 Budget Forum, the Ministry reviewed the most prominent achievements in the municipal and residential sectors, and revealed its most important targets for the coming year in order to continue its efforts to serve citizens and residents and promote the development of cities, which it works to follow up and measure through eight main tracks, namely: Urban planning, urban landscape, infrastructure, hygiene and public health, legislation, compliance, privatization, and smart municipalities, as these tracks include 22 indicators to measure their progress and contribute to improving the quality of life in cities.
