The National Housing Company announced NHC has announced the start of construction on a main substation in the Al-Sadan community in Jeddah, which it recently launched in the Jeddah Governorate under the supervision of the Saudi Electricity Company, with the aim of providing electricity service and ensuring optimal operation of the community’s power system.
The main substation is a high-voltage facility with a safe capacity of 134 MVA, The project also includes connecting the substation to the power grid via double-circuit underground cables, with a total cable length of 3 km, to provide reliable, high-quality electricity services.
Electricity will be supplied via the main substation to all 5,500 residential units, as well as to the services and facilities within the Al-Sadan community, This effort complements the National Housing Authority’s efforts to develop infrastructure for its projects and provide fully serviced communities that meet the highest standards of quality of life.
Al-Saddan Community
Al-Sadan Community one of the largest projects developed by the National Housing Company in the Makkah region, spanning an area of over 4 million square meters, and features an urban environment surrounded by all essential and recreational services and facilities, including mosques, educational facilities, health centers, commercial centers, and sports facilities, in addition to abundant green spaces and 15 public parks within the community.
It is worth noting that the National Housing Company is the pioneer and enabler of the real estate development sector and the largest master developer of suburbs and residential communities in the Kingdom, which are characterized by a high quality of life, having delivered more than 300,000 housing units across 8 suburbs and 6 residential communities spanning an area of over 100 million square meters and accommodating more than 1.5 million citizens, and it seeks to find solutions to secure high-quality supply chains and more sustainable construction materials, as part of the company’s commitment to increasing the real estate supply with housing options that meet international standards, in order to achieve the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 by raising the homeownership rate for Saudi families to 70%.
